About the Soloist
François
Nezwazsky is an accomplished pianist, teacher and
lecturer. His many solo and chamber recitals in and around New York City
have included performances at Lincoln Center and Weill Recital Hall at
Carnegie Hall. He has also lectured for the Leschetizky Association and the
Piano Technicians Guild on the topics of Historical Tuning Temperaments, and
the Acoustical Interaction of Piano Hammers and Strings. His article,
"Should We Really Be Playing In Equal Temperament?" was published in the
Winter 1998/1999 News Bulletin of the Leschetizky Association. Mr. Nezwazky
leads the Lawyers’ Orchestra’s keyboard section and performs regularly at
The Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Friday Evening Chamber
music concerts.Mr. Nezwazky studied piano and chamber music with Lawrence
LaGore, Joseph Banowetz, John Kollen and Eugene Bossart. He studied at the
Interlochen summer music festival, and was a scholarship student at both the
Michigan Conservatory of Music and the University of Michigan. His studies
also included master classes in chamber music with the Beaux Arts Trio at
Indiana University, and with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in
New York City.
