The Cause

Founded in 1979, the Trickle Up Program's mission is to help the lowest income people worldwide take the first step up out of poverty, by providing conditional seed capital and business training essential to the launch of a microenterprise. This proven social and economic empowerment model is implemented in partnership with local agencies.
Trickle Up believes in people and their capacity to make a difference. We empower the world's poorest people to develop their potential and strengthen their communities. We pursue this goal in a way that encourages innovation and leadership, maximizes resources, and promotes communication and cooperation among all Trickle Up constituencies.

The Benefit Concert
The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony designed a benefit concert for The Trickle Up Program, which was held at Alice Tully Hall on October 22nd, 2003.
PACS raised $100,000 for TrickleUp to help communities around the world eliminate poverty by starting small businesses.  As part of The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony's commitment to music education, the orchestra featured 11-year-old Jourdan Urbach as the soloist.  Click here for more information about this concert.
